Matt Wilson is a high school bully and an enemy of Dave, Stoney and their new friend Link. He is a very self-obsessed guy and is also a hockey player at Blades. Matt was Robyn's boyfriend until she broke up with him after he punched Link in the face and saw his out of control ignorance, prompting Robyn to be in a relationship with the latter instead.
Matt is primarily concerned with being cool and popular, and dislikes anyone that threatens to be cooler than him, such as Link. He is also territorial with Robyn and therefore torments Dave who has a crush on her. Matt seems to have had long-lasting rivalry with Dave and possibly Stoney, going as far as telling the former that he has been a "headache since fourth grade".
Matt is also considered to be a criminal, examples being that he and his friends broke into their school in the middle of the night to steal a file of Link's identity, and also broke into Dave's house to steal his pictures as evidence that Link was a caveman rather than a guy from Estonia.
He finally got his ultimate comeuppance at the prom after his attempt to expose Link backfired with Link now being more popular than ever. Link then headbutted him and used a wrestling move that he had seen on TV to throw him into the prom cake. Stoney then finished the job by pouring punch on his head, which received applause from the other classmates.
Thus Matt was now humiliated and his days of being cool and popular were over.
